Celebratory Reception and Debate

For Cogers, guests, invited luminaries and representatives of other debating and speaking organisations. Help blow out the candles on our birthday cake!

Money & Power: the future of the City

Popular debate at a low cost, with representatives of invited anti- capitalist groups, city representatives and others.

Anniversary Debate: "The past 250 years"

Our prestige debate, using the standard Cogers format, discussing the events of the past 250 years.

Speaking Olympiad

Teams from Cogers, Kingston Debating Society, The Rotary Club ('Youth Speaks') and the Association of Speakers' Clubs will challenge each other in a series of speeches and debates in several different formats, to be judged by someone special.
